When Start from Lock Screen is enabled, a Transcribe control appears on your iPhone or iPad lock screen, so you can tap once and start capturing captions right away.
What this feature does
With this setting on, Live Transcribe adds a Transcribe button to your lock screen. Tapping it launches the app straight into transcription, so you don't have to unlock your device, find the app, and start a session manually. It's useful when a conversation starts suddenly and you want captions as fast as possible.
With the setting off, the lock screen control is removed, and you'll open and start Live Transcribe the usual way from your home screen.
How to turn it on or off
- Open Live Transcribe.
- Tap Settings.
- Under Launch Options, toggle Start from Lock Screen on or off.
Your choice takes effect right away and the setting stays as you set it until you change it again.
